auto won't shift out of third 70% of the time

93 rx7, auto., 63000 on car, 8000 on new tranny, gutted dp, and bo valve, thats it, problem: when i drive in D, without hold button engaged, (im flooring it the whole time, from start) , i get to third gear, and it will not shift to 4th (it does this about 80 % of the time), i redline it, and let off, and then if i let it drop all the way back down to idle rpm's, around 1000, it will then shift about 50% of the time, i have no idea what is wrong, and i have did searches, but i would appreciate any info on this, thanks,
paul

I had a similar problem but it would just not shift in D , I had to use the hold button. It ended up being the ECU. I would advice to sheck that to see if it ir working correctly. Did it do this when you got the tranny if so they most of forgot something?

sori dude... was late when i wrote it... hehehe let me explain it in simple words...

this i experience myself... i didnt have any check engine light one... but i knew my car was not normal coz my car was limping... so i diagnose my self wiv wiring the ten and the groud together to check for error codes... but NOTHING! i when to the Mazda dealer and borrow their diagnose computer... got three different error codes!!!

i know how difficult it is to get feedback for auto rx7... i dont know y... but u just be patient...
