Question Auto Tranny

WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS FOR AN AUTO TRANNY ON A '94 TOURING? PROBABLY A STUPID QUESTION BUT I WANT TO KNOW ANYWAYS?

The only real "pros" of an auto tranny are better real world city gas mileage and very consistent times bracket racing (though FDs don't belong on the strip). The cons are that the FD auto isn't very strong, it's 4 speed, and it adds weight.

Do a SEARCH there are a COUPLE threads and a POLL regarding AUTO TRAN'S currently active and I am sure many in the ARCHIVES as well.
