Thumbs down auto manual swap finished! car sputters

all right guys heres my dilemma, i started out with a 94 MB auto with a blown motor. i had a jdm motor w/5spd swapped in it. heres my problem when the car starts it revs fine but after 5 revs it bogs, but get this when i immediately shut the car off and take the key off then restart it the problem goes away until i rev it another 5 times. this happens with a hot or cold engine. im using a 5spd ecu, and manual harness btw

i know it sounds weird, but im stumpped up to this point. any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

i have no idea what piece of electronics is causing your problem but your title reads like you're thinking it's the transmission. which is is not.

Sounds similar to limp mode, have you pulled the engine codes yet? Did you swap harnesses or use all auto harnesses? Does this happen when driving or reving while sitting still?

You should have stuck with the auto harnesses and you would not have to do any splicing/wiring. Did you swap dash harness also? What exact procedure did you use? It sounds to me that you are in limp mode though. Please be as detailed as possible with what work was done, current symptoms, and any mods(non seq, etc).

Thanks
David

You are using an emissions harness from a JDM motor? If so, IIRC the Fuel Thermosensor wires are different between the JDM and US harnesses:

Are you still running all the emissions equipment? Is that even possible with the JDM harness? I bet you are going into limp mode due to some of the rats nest solenoids not being used and there not being resistors installed. I dont even think the JDM harness has the connectors/wiring for the emissions equipment?

Surely someone local with an Apexi PFC will let you borrow it, if you install it and the car runs fine after resetting the battery then you know you are in limp mode.

Going back over your history for the last two years.

Installed a GT35R in your car, and had wiring problems after doing it.
Installed 1600 injectors and had a leak.
Then you were looking for an auto ecu.
Then you converted to a manual trans.
Then you were looking for a manual stock ecu.
Then you installed a PFC and car still runs like crap.

How were you running a single and 1600s on a stock ecu, and did you drive this way for long and do any boosting?
Running 1600 with stock ecus will flood the engine when the 1600 come on.
The PFC requires a Datalogit to set the secondary injectors to 1600.

This would have been something worth mentioning earlier, as Cew said....you need a datalogit to tune 1600cc injectors on the PFC, did you run them with the stock ecu?
