Auto to manual stand alone harness questions
Auto to manual stand alone harness questions
Doing auto to manual with a stand alone ecu haltech or fuel tech.
my question is do I need anything off the auto engine harness or anything else before i toss it .
what should i look out for with the stand alone ecu as far as wiring is concerned on this swap?

if you choose to use a rywire harness you will need the large blue plug. they need you to send it in to them to make a harness. if you plan on building the harness yourself be mindful of the repin required to the x05 i believe. you will want to consider this. it would be advised to simply purchase a pre made PLUG AND PLAY harness. between your 2 options, i would lean hatlech. im not a fan of the fuel tech stuff because it forces you to use that screen and i think thats crazy for a street car. for the haltech, there are plenty of options for pre built harnesses that require no effort other than plugging it in and it just works. im the fuel tech has it as well but..... that damn screen lol
i wouldnt toss the harness, put it in a box and leave it somewhere. youd be surprised what kind of random reason something like that would be useful enough to save a life
