to save from having to make a new thread i'm just going to post it here...

my car wont start or even click. when i turn the key to start it, it makes no sounds. nothing. all the lights and stuff turn on as if it were going to start but nothing happens. the fuel pump doesnt prime. all the lights and everything turn on like normal though. i dont know what to do to get this to work.

i did the de-pin re-pin procedure for the x14 plug and it went well. i didnt do the x05 plug because i dont think i have one on this harness. these are all the plugs i have sitting in my passenger foot well. the obvious ones for the ecu and the ones that dont have have a home is the big rectangle one which im sure is the auto x05 which wasnt plugged in since i bought my car. the plug facing directly at the camera connects the the side wall next to the green and white plugs. i dont know what the 12 pin plug goes to.

the second picture is of the plug i de-pinned and re-pinned, x14 yes? i followed the guide on page one exactly and checked my work. its good.

the third picture is another auto x05 looking plug. is this x10?

To save anyone who may stumble on this thread and see my previous posts/threads, a solution was found.

This write up on repinning the plug to use an MT engine harness in an originally AT car DOES NOT WORK FOR JDM RHD vehicles. To use a manual ENGINE harness you need to swap the entire front harness and under dash firewall harness to a manual harness. The under dash firewall harness im talking about is the ones that terminates at the doors with those crazy white plugs. everything is direct swap over. You can still use the AT dash harness. Theres no difference.

I parted out my first fd over this information since i did not know and was not able to figure it out.

Let me add to this post..
so X-05 connector is the blue one
and the x-14 connector is the white one

now I'm following everything that is written up on this post but I still have a few wire lift out...
I know the black wire from the x-14 connector go's to the x-05 connector but were do the others go????? To the black plug

Here are the color wires that are left out...
By the white plug (x-14 connector) by the firewall
Black, blue, white, and a light green

By the blue plug (x-05 connector)
Yellow, red, brown/black stripe, brown

Were do I plug them????

Ok, followed the schematics and i have everything plugged where its supposed to except for the brown wire. I cant seem to find the 1r on any of the yellow ecu plugs. (Brown from X-05 - Neutral Switch - connect to Yellow at B1-01 EC/AT computer connnection. Connects to 1R at ECU)

I found where it is on the oem schematic but doesn't seem like there is a 1r on the two yellow ecu b1-01 plugs I have.

The pics show the b1-01 setup I have and also the blue harness plug i switched over( red circle is the only open spot in the corner of the plugs that I thought maybe be 1r).

If you could please help me I'd appreciate it. Thank you

1996 Rhd Rx7 FD Auto to Manual Conversion

i bought a 96 jdm rhd fd shell with no engine, trans, or engine harness. I believe it was an Automatic that was converted to manual, based on the oversees report i ordered.

i then found a spirit r manual engine harness for a great price. I put it in but two plugs dont match. I have a blue plug close to the corner of the footwell and a white plug from the engine harness.

I also have a black plug that won't fit into the smaller automatic trans ecu.

I noticed your comment that the auto to manual writeup will not work with JDM RHD models. Do you know of a way to make it work without swapping out the front u-harness and the dashboard harness. I was a bit confused on the "auto dash harness" "under dash harness" etc... comment.

Any help will be appreciated. I am confused.

Btw if it helps, I will be running a Haltech Nexxus S3 ecu, but because it has a plug and play harness, i want to get this sorted out before it arrives (currently on back order).
What is this plug?
What is this plug?

The 3 harnesses are a set. You cannot swap one without swapping all 3. Until someone goes through and pioneers the wire swap like how it's documented for the LHD, there is no way to make them compatible at this time.

More specifically, the "U harness" is the one that wraps around the front of the car.

the "engine harness" or sometimes referred to as the "emissions harness" is whats actually on the engine.

The "firewall harness" is the one that runs along the firewall. Only accessible with the dash out.

The "dash harness" is the one that's actually wrapped INTO the dash. Also only fully accessible with the dash out.

You don't need to swap any of them though, we posted a very detailed how to video here and on our youtube on how to do a manual swap. The electrical side is covered and swapping the harnesses is not required.

Thank you... I saw your video prior.

It is what got me to post this. Only because in my scenario i did not have the stock emissions harness.
I wish the scenario was the same where it was all auto and i was doing the swap with all parts available and knowing the car was running before.

But reading in between the lines, what you might be saying is that if I get an Automatic engine harness from a rhd, I should be fine, assuming they did not swap anything behind the dash. This is helpful.

Yes, you would need an auto 96+ engine harness and then you'd be good. The video would then apply.
