Atkins Rotary Rebuild video?
Has anyone bought it? I was wondering if the engine they actually rebuild would be excatly like the FD? I am not brilliant with the rotary engine, but i am good with fixing things i guess, so should i attemp a rebuild with the video?

I have the video and it shows a rebuild of the 2nd gen 13B motor, but much of the content carries over to the FD. I would definitely recommend it as a primer before you tap your FD motor, it is worth the money.

Blow up or win
The Atkins is a good primer. Unless you have rebuilt piston engines (yes - I said piston) you will probably screw up a rotary rebuild. It is deceptively simple, but if you screw up things like not setting the end play correctly or not cleaning parts spotlessly you will be in trouble. Big trouble.
I don't say this to discourage anyone from an attempt, just realize that you are going to be spending a lot of money on new stock parts to do it correctly, and that does not include "go fast" goodies.
Have a pro do it for you, and get a warranty in writing.
An engine rebuild is not something a "shade tree" mechanic should tackle.

Atkins seems to have a license from Bruce Turrentine which allows them to sell the video.

I have bruce Turrentine's video. I have not had time to watch the whole thing. But from what I have seen it is very good... I am still in the process of pulling out the motor.
