AST relocation with LARGE SMIC (single turbo)
I have the PFS Race (basically exact thing as M2/ASP Large) and I cant seem to find a place to mount the AST. Im taking into concideration that the AST has to be at the highest point of the cooling system, and because of that I cant find a place to mount it with my new SMIC. I use to fun a FMIC.
Any ideas? pictures?
Ill try to get pictures up in a few hours.

heres mine.
its an ast from pettit. comes with a little bracket that is suppose to mount the the bolt that holds the alternator on. i used one on the water pump housing and have had success with it for the past couple years.
the ast sits a little lower then the coolant fill cap so i dont think it hast to be the highest point. but its close
the stock ast location isnt the highest point on the cooling system either. is it?

Ive thought about eliminating my ast many a time but i just love the look of my re amemiya ast
Adds a nice touch to the cooling system.
For now i relocated mine to near the passenger side headlight (usa) making up a custom bracket. Only play i could really make it fit.
It sits a bit lower than the filler neck, not by much but it is lower. That said, i have no issues so far with engine temps etc. Been fine.
