AST Question - Newbie

Hey everyone, I am changing my AST and started the car up and it was smoking and the change coolant light was on and buzzing at me. I immdiately shut the engine down and haven't touched it since. I am assuming this is not normal, what should I do? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Just top off the coolant and try to make sure that you have all the air out. take it for a short, easy drive, wait a few minutes for the engine to cool down a little, then check the coolant and top it off again if needed.

it is highly unlikely that by changing the AST you could do anything to make it smoke more than it did previously.
