Ast + Pfs

For those who have a PFS SMIC: when I fix the AST to the IC at the racket, then the AST is slightly tilt and parallel to the IC core, in a diagonal position if you prefer (sorry poor english)
For me the AST should be perfectly vertical. Is this assumption right in the first place?

If yes I guess I'll have to make a custom bracket.

AST is supposed to be full of coolant right?

Yes it is supposed to be full of coolant but I dont think it matters that it is not perfectly level it is just their to let air out of the coolant system. It is not even really needed

Yes, the AST should be full of coolant, at least up to the level of the line going to the overflow. I wouldn't want to tilt it too much or the air will might not be able to migrate out as it should.
FWIW, I've got a PFS that I intend to install, hopefull sometime soon. I'll be installing the AST elimination kit with it. Looking at the PFS design, it seems intended primarily for the stock AST, which IMO, isn't an option.

The PFS bracket works for the stock AST but for the aluminum AST is does not work without a custom bracket. I just used a strong zip tie to hold it on the PFS IC bracket.

Yes that's also what I did first but I don't like it very much, because the AST bottom was almost touching the IC core. But it was a light zip tie. The good thing was that it stayed vertical.

I might try again with a stronger zip tie.

I managed to fix it to the IC: you just have to lengthen the hole on the IC bracket.
