Not recommended. The AST is there to seperate air from the cooling system as you probably know. The problem with removing it is that the stock filler neck has no real volume in it to keep any trapped air to vent.

Also I have done both. I think it boils down to personal choice and comfort leve.

Garfinkle takes them out his 94 has not had ast for 6years without temp problems.He does not use a kit ,only the part from the 2nd gen with the hose fitting. He will only do mods for others if he is sure of the outcome .
