Paint is good and all but you cant see it in when the whole motor is installed. Maybe thats why they didnt do it except for the 12A(or were there others)?

I dont know what about that paint you dont see.
You can clearly see that the UIM is installed and I see paint all over the place. I suppose my IC pipes will cover a slight bit of paint.
Damn I guess I should have stuck with **** oil stained alluminum.

I just knew someone that painted his housings blue, and you couldnt even see it unless you put your head in the engine bay. Plus it was dark so the blue was really hard to see, granted yours are RED, so maybe its easier to see

Polishing the interior on the ports will not make a large difference, not sure where you got your info.
It would be a waste of time, for what minute difference you may or may not see.
