asp large vs vmount

for some reason the search function is not working for me tonight. i was able to google it but since im on a military lan so its blocked. so i cached and it....well to make a long story short. did chuck prove that his vmounts were better than the the large asp intercoolers?

There was no test ever reported.

IMO, unless you use a larger SMIC and deem it not suitable for your needs (i.e. cooling and intake temps are still too high for 'your' application), then go with a V-Mount. If a good SMIC and conventional radiator mount keeps you cool, then why bother.

Does it even matter for a primarily street driven car?

i believe chuck was giving away 500 dollars to anybody who wanted to donate their fd to the \"experiment\" i guess he and the asp maker were bickering back and forth. also, wouldn\'t the vented hood ie;panspeed, re. kinda make the vmount like a front mount since the reverse induced air is hitting the core? \"kinda like\" meaning that it wouldnt be as heat soaked with the oem hood. im confused haha

Because they had to actually pay for the cost of the V-mount. The $500 was only if it did not perform better than the ASP (or better than Kevin was bitchin') and to return it back to SMIC.
