Aren't I supposed to hit fuel cut?

My boost pattern sucks as of this moment. I can go on 3rd gear and go WOT and boost up to .5 bar-.2-.5, and some minutes later I floor it again and I boost .9-.5-.9. I even hit 1 bar. I thought that the ECU would implement fuel cut if it would see past 12psi. I am curious as to why it isn't.

I know, it is not a wise idea to boost improperly, but I am curious as to how high it would go just to note it down and come here and ask, hehehe.

Thanks for any help.

From another thread, fuel cut at different rpm's on stock ecu:

RPM ABS. CUT OFF(PSI) SEA LEVEL CUT OFF(PSI)

1000 26.5 11.8
1500 26.5 11.8
2000 26.5 11.8
2500 26.5 11.8
3000 26.9 12.2
3500 27.1 12.4
4000 27.5 12.8
4500 28.0 13.3
5000 26.9 12.2
5500 26.0 11.3
6000 25.8 11.1
6500 25.4 10.7
7000 25.4 10.7

You can see that you can go up to 13.3 psi. This is pretty close to 14psi on regular boost gauge.

Fuel doesn't happen "instantaneously". The boost has to past one of the many thresholds posted by Adam and be there for a certain amount of time for fuel to happen.

This is why boost spikes can be dangerous as they typically happen and are done before fuel cut can do it's thing.
