Talking ApneaBlue Made A BooBoo: Engine Coolant Plug Part # Please

Ok, first off I am asking someone who has a manual to look up the part # for the engine coolant plug as I seem to have lost mine...

Last weekend I successfully managed to pull off the CRC block weld (which is holding beautifully I might add) well after the last flush I guess I didn't tighten the plug enough and it managed to fall out and all the coolant go bye bye I was driving along and all of a sudden Inotice my hot air started to blow cold...I was like "hmmm, that weird" I immediately look down at the PFC temp and it says 92°c which is about 7° higher than it usually is considering it's 32°f ambient temp...I continue to watch it and it goes 93 - 94 - 95 - 96 - 97 - 98 - 99 - 100 - 101 - 102 - I pull over and idle for a moment and it continues to rize to 107°c then I shut her down...I heard a hiss and white smoke coming from the drivers side of the engine bay and I open her up thinking it was the TB coolant line that busted...Nope!...looked under the car and there was a small puddle of coolant on the ground...opened the filter neck and it was empty, squeezed the radiator hoze and it was empty, then I wized up and looked where the engine coolant plug WAS supposed to be and it was GONE! so anyway, I had to have my cousin leave his bithin party with all the hot chicks and come and haul me and my gurl back home with a measly *** piece of rope that busted 3 times on the way...sheeeittt...anyways, moral of the story is "REALLY tighten you coolant plug if you take it out.

Hopefully it didn't overheat and warp my seals...

Anyway, good evening and good night!

I managed to somehow post this in the parts wanted section too Mahjik if you are reading this please delete that one would ya? thanks.

Ok...so that part number wasn't for the Engine Block Coolant Plug, it was for the radiator coolant plug...

The part number I need if the coolant drain plug as shown in this photo from robinett's site...

I am going to try and upload a photo of what I am talking about.

PS I have an extra radiator plug if anyone needs one...going to upgrade my rad soon so I am sure I wont need it.

I was looking at that same page too...they have a part number off to the side of the page for the gasket (10-323A) but the plug which is what I want has some funky number 99510-1000 . is that what I ask mazda for or am I not seeing the NF-Mazda number?

Damian, my mechanic still has it and don't think I can return it...I am going with an after market rad so you can have it if you pay the shipping e-mail me(david@apneablue.com) and we can sort it out...

I couldn't make any sense of it either...that's why I posted the pic . Sorry.

I thought maybe it's some kind of bolt size or something, but I'm not familiar with that numbering.

I already have the local mazda dealer on it...basically I just explained what it was I needed and he kinda got an idea so I am just hoping at the moment that I will get the right part...Here's what mazdaformance.com said

>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Hi David,

Well the freight would be more than the parts. Would suggest checking with
local dealer about ordering. We would have to order in as well than ship to
you.

p/n 9951-01-000 (1.48) for plug........9956-41-000 (.56) for gasket. S&H
would be $5.95.

Regards,

Brian
