This is a link to the pdf instructions for the install. Thanks for any help. It doesnt have the two pictures like the printed instructions I have. If this doesn't help I can scan or take photos of the instructions I have. I also have pictures of under the hood where I can point out the hose I am talking about. Here is a link to pictures of the instructions that shipped with the intake as well as two pictures under the hood to show which hose I'm talking about (the one that comes out the side of the stock airbox). Thanks again for any help.

The instructions say to leave that hose attached to the upper half of the air box. I assume it is removed along with the stock air box. You're talking about Hose "N" in the seventh picture, right?

That hose doesnt go anywhere and is not used with the apex intake. Just pull it out with the stock box.

Very Old thread but does anyone know what the Metal spacer that you put in a tube is for? I didnt get one with my filters so wondering if I need it and if so what size does it have so I can make a new one

Metal piece is used to silence the air pump. It's not mandatory for the install
