Apexi Power FC Question?

I have a 93 RX-7 with 44k miles on it. I have greddy exhaust, greddy Stock mount intercooler, HKS downpipe, Greddy hard elbow pipes, Stainless steel air seperator tank, K&N cold airbox, and the Apexi Power FC.

I do not have the power commander for the Apexi FC. Should I get one? I am running stock boost at 9psi. I have a new fuel pump that I havent put in yet. I am wondering with the mods I have could I turn my boost up a bit, and stay reliable? Can I turn it up myself with the commander, or do I have to go to a tuner? What is the right boost for my setup?

It keeps it a lot colder then stock, and makes you able to up your boost, but I have not done that yet. It makes the engine bay looks really sweet too. I like it cause it keeps your turbo's under wrap. I like the sleeper look. Anyone know what kind of boost I should run?

Since it's colder did you feel a difference in power?

If you can afford to get it tuned it would be a good idea. You could probably find a base map for those mods somewhere here on the forum, but getting the commander is a very good idea since it will allow you to monitor your car as well as give you the ability to program the power fc.

And while you are buying the Commander, pick up the datalogit and a wideband 02. Then tune all you like.

The commander and the Power FC should not be sold seperatly (Just my 02 cents). The commander is what makes this ECU so good, along with other minor functions.

Actually, you can tune with the Commander *or* with the Datalogit (via laptop); you don't have to have both.
