Apexi Power FC known issue?

Hey guys I was wondering if it was normal for a Apexi Power FC to pump yoru car full of gas when you have the ignition turned over but no the car turned on. I got a Apexi Power FC from a shop and they told me that I shouldn't leave the car on like that without it running. I can't imagine that this is a normal thing that happens with a stand Alone System. Thanks for any info you guys can give me.

well with the power on, your feul pump is running...

IDK about your question, but I do know that much. You should probably also try posting in the PFC tech forum.

No, you have a problem with your car. Either you misunderstood what the shop said or they are just plain wrong.

A problem with my car? I put back in the old ECU and it worked fine no extra fuel being pumped. Make sure if your giving info to someone that it's right man. To much bad information going around already. The problem is either with the Power FC or it's normal. Thats my question.

I know that if you cut certain grounds this will happen. Did you cut the corect wires before hooking up your ECU?

This is not a problem with a properly functioning PFC. Either the PFC is damaged/defective, the programming of it has been severely jacked, or there is something wrong with your car. Period.

So, you are getting fuel in your motor while the car is just turned on and not trying to start it or running?

The fuel pump will pump fuel through the system constantly to hold fuel pressure while the key is in the on position. If your injectors are working correctly, they should be closed with the car not running.

Maybe one of your injectors is stuck open. causing fuel to empty in to the motor.

Just an idea, But probably not since when you hook up a stock ecu the problem goes away. (how do you know that this fixes the problem?)

I guess there is a possibality that the the injectors are getting a signal to be open while the key is in the on position. What kind of fuel system do you have on your car?

I agree with above.

Something is wrong with the PFC, you probably installed it wrong (with wiring) or the map might be for something else? (single turbo, 1600cc injectors etc?)

GO in to pfc settings etc map sensor and look for anything highlighted in black. not a black dot which means in use but the abbreviaton highlighted. translate the abbreviation and figure out why its not working.

how are you "verifying" that it is dumping fuel in the block with the pfc? does it flood "only" with the pfc or you taking your mechanics word for it. ...how is he verifying this? Are they selling you a bad pfc? did they clip the wrong wires on the harness? If they verify the pfc does this, do not buy it!

My PFC started doing that while i was driving cross country.. the read out said that i was boosting eleventy psi when the car wasnt running and i could hear the injectors clicking.
put back in the stock ecu and it turned right over. My pfc worked fine for years and then just went crazy/..i still have it .. i was thinking about trying to send it back to apexi to see if they can diagnose it.. does your car turn on and run?
