Apexi gauge/electrical question

I've got a couple of APEXi EL Series gauges that I was wiring up this past weekend. Everything is pretty straightforward, but I was wondering one thing: for those who have installed them, what did you use as a source for the backlight (yellow wire, I believe)?

For those that may not have these gauges, you may be able to help if I explain a little. The EL gauges have an indiglo backlight on the face that is supposed to be wired to come on when the parking lights are turned on. You can't piggy-back off fuse because that's got a constant 12 volts. You could tap in near the parking lights, but I wanted to stay in the cabin, near the fuse box if possible. Basically I'm just asking if anyone knows of an accessible parking light power source. If it comes down to it, I can always run a wire to the ash tray light, as it comes on with the parking lights.

Thanks,

-Scott

Back light for gauge

Scott, If you hook your yellow wire up to the positive wire on the ash tray lamp you will be able to control the back light. It will come on with the parking lights and head lights as well as being able to control the brightness of the back light. Hope this is what your looking for. Jack By the way if you don't have a wiring diagram you will need to use a meter and turn the parking lamps on and off to determine wihich is the power lead to the ash tray lamp. Just splice into that wire.
