Apexi FMIC vs Greddy 2 Row vs HKS FMIC
Apexi FMIC vs Greddy 2 Row FMIC vs HKS FMIC: Any suggestions, preferences, or experiences with these intercoolers. If someone feels they have enough knowledge to rate them from first to last feel free too (of course providing reasons why). Keep in mind the evaluations apply to stock twins.

I feel the apexi/blitz style are superior to the greddy/hk$ style.
the apexi blitz sit further back, so you get air flowing into your engine bay. the greddy/hk$ sit flush with the front bumper, blocking airflow. Also, for the same reason the apexi/blitz are much much easier to install. I installed my blitz without removing the front bumper, extremely easy. With the greddy you have to take off your bumper and hack it up to get it to fit.

yup, +1 to what Goodfella said, Apex and Blitz sits back to back with the radiator. so not much air flow can escape from IC to radiator.
Although HKS one u have to trim the bumper to install as well, but there is a lot less gap between the IC and the radiator compare to Greddy. Since the piping dips down and goes around the radiator, there's no blockage at all between the IC to radiator.
Apex and greddy (especially m-core) are big and clunky with thick bars and thick fins. Blitz and HKS on the other hand have better/delicate core design and material with more thin horizontal tubes which allows more air seperation and cooling w/out much air blockage.
so imo. #1 blitz, #2 HKS, #3 Apex, #4 Greddy
I've collected some pics over the years, not remembering where i got them from and i just wanna thank everyone's pictures i used. first one is blitz, the other 3 are HKS. I don't have a great one with entire engine bay, but u get the idea.

Well Blitz is discontinuing their FMIC and Apexi has already stopped production on the one for the single turbo. Your options are the Apexi for the stock twins that comes with their dual intakes, HKS FMIC which is similar to the Greddy but a lot more money and the Greddy FMIC.
I have said this a million times but if your car is street or drag then the Greddy is fine and makes no difference that it blocks a little more air over the others.

Also, it's true that Blitz discontinued their fmic, but I recently bought a brand new one through my shop, Gotham Racing. You can always call up the shop at 817 788 8726 and see if another one is still available.
