Apexi FMIC performance
Apexi FMIC performance
I am in the process of purchasing an old school apexi gtspec FMIC and wanted to see if anyone had any experience using this intercooler. I am hoping for anywhere from 550 - 600 whp and I am not sure if this FMIC can han handle that sort of power and maintain decent intake temps. If anyone has used one of these please let me know what type of experience you had with it.
Thanks in advance

I made over 500 with this FMIC and it worked very well---- even had it on the road course and temps were under control. As mentioned, it sits further back from the front bumper so does allow some air through to the radiator
Cost wise they are not too far apart but the FMIC seems to be the more simplistic route. Do you have an opinion on this?
If you have the ask, the answer is V-mount.
I tracked mine on a 84-degree day and the water temp never went over 176 while the car was moving. No AC, though.
It was like driving an NA car. Only making 320 HP or so, though.
