APexi Dual N1 INstall Question
I just recieved my Dual N1's. Does the black plastic that extends from under the bumper to just above the tips of the catback need to be trimed to prevent melting on the larger tips of the n1's. i have a '95 7, if that changes anything.

when i got it install dont think they trimmed anything, but they installed it so that the tips didn't touch the bumper, probably a good two inches.

not sure if you can see it..but haven't had any problems with the heat thus far.

when I installed mine a few years ago...
Try bending the hanger closest to the tips to get a better fit. Mine sat a little too close to the bumper for comfort so I bent the hanger and haven't had a problem since.

with the addition of a midpipe my bumper gets black **** all over it from the flames and the black piece around the exhaust has started to melt on to the exhaust. Note: most flames come out of just one of the pipes since it has more direct air flow. That black piece seems to be getting custom molded to the exhaust size though and should be done melting soon. Maybe when they added the midpipe it moved the catback a little and that's why it started to melt.
ttb: Nice *** chrome wheels they look brand new or like you just got them rechromed yesterday.

Definetly trim it if you can, because the exhaust on 7s gets incredibly hot and will begin to melt your bumper. Probably won't hurt the exhaust or bumper too much, but you dont want them getting glued together. Leave atleast 3/4 centimeter of space.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Mine ending up being to close....and it melted a little bit of the black part on the bumper. So....now im looking to find a new one....cause its likes ghetto as hell now! So....be careful....and make sure you bend the hanger enough to clear it.
