Loud and sounds like a motorboat in my opinion. I had one and when It get bent in an accident I replaced it with a Greddy SP. Much nicer sounding and quiter.

this topic comes up once a week....i swear.

i will say what i always say...i have the n1 dual and it sounds horrendous...like a snowmobile crossed with a vacuum cleaner....and it has a very deep drone that drowns out the radio...then again..i run a midpipe too...but it was loud even with the stock cat on it.

it will melt your bumper if you dont modify the hangers.

I'm running.....

I'm running with the M2 down pipe, SRmotorsports high flow cat with air pump hooked up, and N1 Duels. I LOVE IT I do have to admit that my lady can't stand how loud it is now. And that is ok with me because when I drive that machine its MY TIME. Now in order to keep the peace with here I have purchased the silencers to quit down the ROAR of the MACHINE. Note silencers do cut a LOT of power. I am in Cali so if you want to look me up and take a spin in my ride with and with out the Silencers PM me.

the turbos are working out great...if you like sequential response and want a good low end powerband then these are the turbos for you. Right now my HP curve gets very choppy up top due to the richness in the tuning. I expect to pull another twenty horse out of it once I get an issue with my exhaust temps figured out.

The car screams though....Im happy with the results. It hasnt ran this well in three years and has never felt so strong.

I must be getting old cuz the n1 dual/midpipe was a little embarrassing to cruise through the neighborhoods with....but thats only cuz I couldnt open it up and rattle their windows.

good to hear that you are happy with them. Yea I must admit that the n1's are loud, even though I'm in the same catagory as you ( old guy ), it must be the kid in me that likes the loudness.

I was talking to M2 and they are looking into mating their ballbearing turbos with their stage 3 package and seeing how they run. I assume that they would not put out as much power, but that may be the thing I'm looking for. It would be great if I did not have to spend $8k + ( turbos, intercooler, injectors, power fc, etc.) to get more power. But to be able to have 400 rwhp on tap, that would make this "old man" giddy!! Good luck on the tuning and keep me informed.

overkill...no offense to m2 but there is no way in hell i would use that package with these turbos. the m2 ecu is not designed to work with them. period. they have told me that fifty times. capt bill did that and did not have the power gains he expected. The guys at m2 used to tell me that they couldnt understand why he would run those turbos with that setup....sorry m2...but thats a bad idea and you know it.

there is no shortcut to power or to doing this right. you have no choice but to do it right and purchase the proper mods.

you want to run the upgraded twins...then you will need the majority of my mod list. and you will need either the pfc or the haltech.

good luck overkill....if you want that kind of power then it is possible for sure...but you will need the proper goods and you will need a full tuning job either with the datalogit or at a tuner like xs engineering. there is no alternative to this. trust me.

I was m2's guinie pig with these turbos. It took me almost a year to figure out what needed to be done to run them properly. I just finished a month ago. I still have a little more tuning to do up top...but other than that the car is ready to rumble.

With that said, I'm sure that M2 would not simply slap them on and sell them as is. If I had to guess the turbos would be mated in some way shape or form to the stage 3, perhaps a "modified version of the stage 3? Given M2's conservative approach, I'm sure they will continue to stay on the safe side, period. This would be my opinion .
