which apex springs
which apex springs
I just purchased a new set of mazda apex seal springs and noticed they are not the same as the ones which i currently have in my engine (hurley racing apex seals), they must use there own springs. I noticed the mazda ones are thinner and more springy (meaning they look like they would put less pressure on the apex seal). Would i be better using the mazda ones or sourcing another set of the hurley ones? any advice thanks guys
mmm interesting,, ive also noticed that the hurley short springs are longer designed to fit there apex seals. Ive gonna ahead and built the engine using the mazda long springs and the hurley short springs ,, so ive got a mutant engine lol. As for using the hurley apex seals ive had these ones in the engine like 3 years 25000 miles they still look good and spec out so im gonna continue using this set until something breaks. Whats the problem with the hurley seals, i heard they are softer so dont last as long but are better for the rotor housings.
