ever since i installed the apex power intake, my water temps on the freeway (according to my pfc) have actually dropped from 88C to around 85C; i guess due to the fact there is probably better air flow through my radiator now on the passenger side w/ the stock airbox removed. another interesting thing i noticed is that the air intake temps have not really changed much at all... at most they're on average 1C-2C higher than when i had the stock intake. only thing i've noticed is that the air intake temps seem to rise a bit faster when i'm just sitting there idling at a light, but it's not very significant. overall, i'm very happy with my $200 apex power intake. driving home on the freeway tonight, i was seeing on average around 34C (it was pretty cool outside) and driving home in the afternoon when it's pretty hot outside, i see around 45C... almost exactly the same temps i saw w/ my stock airbox which was taking some of the airflow from my stock intercooler. what kind of air intake temps are people seeing with cold air intakes such as the m2/rx7fashion/etc.? are they significantly lower?
