this is a complete guess, but from their website i would say you are sacrificing some low end with the GT but the GT is better at peak hp. just a guess...

Either way they are both Apex so they are great value and quality.

Yes TTB...you are right...I have the GT-SPEC and you do loose some low end but the high end is where the power is! The dam pipe is 3inches from the connection of my midpipe and steps up to 4 inches!!! Yes it is very loud but deep. Both exhuast are great depending on what power curve desired. Hey I need the high end to take out those dam V8s!!

Hey Series...stop being bias!!

i have the gt spec and i love it. its not for everyone though. i hear once you go to a single turbo setup that it is super loud. i have heard people get pulled over with the gt spec for being way to loud with a stock car also. i have never heard a n1 on a rx7 so i cant give an opinionon it. if you dont want a loud exhaust then dont get the gt spec.

My opinion, and I had the ApexiN1 single:

More high end power, sounded terrible (tin can) very loud without silencer, did nothing for the look of the car. Very well made, nice robotic tig welds, quality steel.
Perfect for racing, but not the street.

Can't comment on the other one, but I think it is essentially the exact same unit under a different brand name. I dunno.

Verdict: I made my own with a straight through Dynomax Ultra Muffler and twin SS tips. Throaty bass sound, inexpensive to build, more midrange torque (the useable kind) than I ever anticipated.

Not sure about any HP gains but I would guess maybe 5 to 10 on my setup, but I really don't care since I was after torque. I think you would get maybe 10 on the Apexi.

the GT Spec and the N1 are both made by Apexi. i dont know why you thought that they were made by a different brand name. the only N1 i have ever heard was on a civic and it sounded tin can like also. i wanted the gt spec because it has only one bend....and its hardly a bend at that. i figured better flow and it also comes with bigger piping than the N1. so i figued it will yeild more powe once i finish installing my single tubo.

The N1 single is 3 inch diameter in piping in contrast the GT is 3.75 inch. Also the GT spec has fewer bends than the N1 and when you buy it also comes with a silencer. With a midpipe, both exhausts are very loud, although for some reason the GT is actually quieter than the N1 or N1 dual (don't know why). apex'i exhausts are all very nice exhaust and very well made, the only thing is that if you have a midpipe they get really really loud even though the power is great.

I have the N1 and like it. I thought the GT would be louder, An that then I might have to use the silencer. Did'nt want to do that.

The GT Spec is real loud. It's loud at idle, it drones while cruising, and it screams at WOT. With the silencer in it's tolerable but no fun. I just got home after driving around for an hour and my freaking ears are ringing. And I still have my main cat.
