We have a coal power plant at my school and they have a scale to weigh the shipments as they come in so I got on it. 93 touring model, with spoiler, with spare tire, stock rims, half tank of gas, no occupants, some stuff in the bins and trunk, and weighed 2860 lbs. Just thought some people might want to know rather than estimate.

 

I weighed mine at moroso motorsports park here in south florida a year and half ago. I had basically the same stuff in the car as you except for a spoiler and I think it weighed 2600 pounds. Maybe one or both of the scales is somewhat off. Either that or i had less fuel in the tank than you.

 

2600 lbs? did you strip the car? around 2800 for base model...dp/cb gets rid of probably like 50 pounds, maybe more...2600 seems way too low.

 

At the time, i think i only had the pettit intake. The stock weight of a base rx-7 is under 2700 lbs with the manual transmission. Anyway, like i said, the scale might have been off.

 

that scale was off....the curb weight of the rx-7 ranges from 2789 for the base 5 speed to 2923 for the touring automatic. that's from my mazda book. although all of us wish it was under 2700.

 

My base 5-speed when totally stock with 3/8 tank of gas weighed 2780 lbs. 2600 is not accurate for a near-stock car.
