Anyone tried these fuel pickups?

I'm thinking of trying a few of these in opposite sides of the tank. Theoretically this would solve the left hand turn issue as the pickups in the left side of the tank would close up & the fuel pump would instead pickup fuel from the right hand side of the tank. In turn, letting you run your tank down to near empty without any issues. Anyone tried this before?
