is anyone still running a PFS PMC??

i have heard that it is an obsolete system on our cars these days but i would like to know if it is okay to use the preprogrammed settings w/ intake and dp. im planning on getting a catback soon but i got my hands on the pmc for cheap and the guy who sold it to me never tuned it. would it be okay to run on my mods or should i tune it?

any other information about the system would be helpful because i've tried to search and i've seen more opinions than the legitimate w/ numbers that i'm really looking for.

thanks,
Randy

I've still got the one I've had for about 6 years. They are OK if you don't do a lot of tuning and plan to run the twins. They will work with more mods but once you get into tuning the car you're going to want something more.

They work fine and they are not obsolete--they are only obsolete if you just bought a PFC or ?? for big bucks and didn't really get more performance. Ha, ha. The PFS can be fully tuned, so what's obsolete about it? That's as rediculous as the 16 vs 8 bit argument. Carburetors are obsolete too, but they still win a hell of a lot of races. Hmmm.

Seriously, the piggyback it is not considered the most elegant solution by everyone, but they do work. And they do have some advantages. I also agree with those who recommend later or updated versions of the PFS. With proper tuning, a PFS/PMC equipped car can be very sharp.
