So I was thinking that this would be a much better location to put two gauges rather than in the center speaker. The center speaker location just seems too far away.

I hardly ever use the vents that blow straight on you so I was thinking this would be a much better location.

 

The center speaker location is not too far away, even with 52mm gauges. I've never seen a gauge pod that fit into the center vents.
