http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2463178747

Apparently Cam Worth is selling the car and there's a heated debate about it being the fastest rotary rocket on the planet. Potential Money race etc. I found it entertaining and figured I would share.

You have to admit that the BS meter is off the chart on the auction.

It doesn't. I believe it was around 2900lbs and made no more than mid 400ish rwhp.

The chromoly axels were never installed.
I believe it has a 62-1 on it, not a t-66 anymore
less than 1000 miles on the engine?? lmao
It has NEVER made anywhere near 642 hp
I believe it hit in the 520ish's on he previous engine before detuning.
My favorite parts on the car are the nasty faded paint and Krylon'd head light covers.

pettit has been around fopr a while..i highly doubt they would commit fruad. I bet the car makes the claimed rwhp and smokes just about everything outhere....its a 3 rotor turbo for crysake!
however, the paint does look like ****.

I'm not accusing anyone of fraud.
The seller may not be aware of what the car actually is.

I'm saying that myself and a lot of other people were there for the build up and all the dyno time the car had before being sold. If it suddenly picked up 200hp that's dandy, but I'd like to see a dyno sheet.

Fair enough?

Pettit didn't build that car, they're selling it for someone else & it's been beat down by many cars around here.

The owner used to claim 850-900RWHP.

Just because it's a turbo 3-rotor doesn't mean it's the fastest thing on the road. I pulled on a turbo 3-rotor with my single turbo street ported FD...

And what does having a turbo three rotor prove? The best mph I've seen out of the car at the quarter was 122. *shrug*

I put a fender on this acclaimed 3 rotor car with a 13b and twins.

Yes and no. It's more or less a stock engine built by roger manfield. I don't believe any porting was done.

The car made a touch over 500rwhp once on one of the previous two 3 rotors installed but was detuned this time around to keep from blowing up.

I believe it also has 550 primary and 850 secondary injectors. Don't quote me, but I'm next to positive. I remember having a long debate with the builder about how he needed larger secondaries.

I don't understand the "detuned" logic. Why build a car and leave things out; thus giving this excuse?

I don't consider something "detuned" for running XX amount of boost due to fuel octane ratings. Yet, limiting boost and/or timing do to other reasons (such as missing ignition components, or fuel hardware, etc) to be ... odd.

They aren't my excuses to give so I don't really have an answer for you. My car runs like it should.
