anyone refinished the silver around the stock gauges

I took my instrument cluster apart to do some work on, the last thing I need to do is refinish the silver/chrome ring around the plastic face. Anyone redone this? Any suggestions or links on this forum?

Re-chrome it or paint it with silver chrome plate.

Just buy some new ones, they'll look a lot better and they're actually inexpensive.

Correct. New plexi covers and rings for <$70 is well worth the cost if these parts are showing their age...

got mine from malloy.. dont have their number on me right now.. just search malloy.

well worth the 81 bucks because even tho you manage to chrome out the rings the plexiglass no doubt has scratches on it. right now its crystal clear and the chrome is so shiny. dash and gauges look brand new.

I've had this part in my garage for like 6 months now. How hard is it to replace?

I also need to JB Weld the damn passenger door handle.
