Anyone purchase these lights??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7986239768

I was thinking about getting these and was wondering if anyone had experience with them. Since they are halo lights im guessing that the halo turns on with running lights and then both turn on for night driving. It says plug and play and no mod required. I was just wanting to see if anyone had a set and what they looked like.

I would save the money and use it for something else. The stock lights look WAY better.

i have those lights installed. I just got sick of the original light covers breaking. The lighting at night is so much better and i dont have to worry bout covers anymore. Installation was pretty straight forward cept that you'll have to shave some plastic off so they sit flush.

They look cool for that price. I don't know much about that brand, but for that rate not bad to check them out.

each to his own. seriously though Mazda designed some lousy filmsy light covers. i had 3 covers break on me and the fear of them flying off and smashing the windscreen at highspeeds. I've seen a couple of non poppy lights and this fits the bill. I cannot justify paying 500-1000usd for lights. https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Agreed, for another $250 you could buy replica c-west lights, which I think look 100 times better. Or another $500 and pick up real re sleek likes or cwest here on the forums. I got my rotary run headlights for 750 here on the forums...

let me put this in perspective for you guys. i picked up my original 99 spec bumper, original 99 reinforcement bar, replica 99spec driving lights for 400 usd. for 500 USD i'd be better off spending it on my engine mods than lights especially more so if these work just the same. i'm always function over form.

Well, actually, you're not always function over form - if you were, you'd have a Toyota Prius and go on down the highway..........

FD's are BIG TIME form over function!

It might look better if you painted the housing to the color of your car

how is the lighting better when you are using the exact same bulbs you would use on your stock lights (my presumption based on the pic)? just curious.
basically they are HID looking but stock lighting.

I have yet to see a non pop-up thats been better than stock lighting. And if they are HIDs compare them to someone who has put an HID in the stock light. I bet the popups cast further and wider.

Not too sure if i wired them correctly but only the centre 2 light up. on highbeam only the outer 2 light up. i plan to rewire them so all four light up. It does make a lot of difference compared to the stock units. I plan to upgrade to HID (got a sample unit from a supplier lying somewhere)

Like i have said before, i am just sick of the original covers breaking so this seemed, at least to me, like a good alternative. Now i get called Frogman.LOL
