Anyone...Pics of polished intake pipes...

I am looking for pics of FD engines with polished intake pipes. I currently have the Apexi intake painted blue. I am slowly having everything polished. I want to see the different options for polished intake pipes before I decide what I am going to do.

Here's the engine bay as of today...

Thanks rynberg!

Fastrx7Man: I used to have the apexi intakes like you do and I polished them...it was a biatch though!....I now have the Airinx which I also polished...It's in the pic above...but here are the polished Apexis...

It was a lot of time invested to polish them...about 6-8 hours of sanding and polishing but it was worth it...I ended up selling them on this forum for $170...I feel like an idiot because I saw an unpolished one sell for a little over $200

That is RTS3GEN's car in the picture posted by xstacy7. Send him a PM, he'll be more than happy to tell you about it. BTW, that's an old pic of his car. I believe everything is polished under the hood now.

You want real bling you better go alot further than that. Try 1600 grit, and dont even get me started about micron..

You might have to cut and paste the links. Like the duct tape? Anyway this is the HKS RS kit, it comes with polished intake pipes.

Damian do me a favor and get rid of the filter for the 2 one way valves oh I mean BOV's gotta intimidate the honda's now don't we? I think that setup you have will cause some unwanted backpressure on your turbos b/c the air can't excape fast enough

if it's one thing I have learned about polishing is that it's all in the preparation (sanding). I think I achieved just as good as anyone can stopping at 320...However, my buffing wheel time was probably a lot longer than yours...I think the more time you spend sanding is the less time you will spend on the wheel...Personally I prefer spending more time at the wheel...It's more fun..

More Bling for you viewing pleasure.

I have been wanting to polish the same blue Apexi intake as fastrx7man for some time now, but from everything I've been reading it's a time-consuming project.

Today, I took the first step by stripping off that nasty blue paint. To my surprise, it took no time at all and the aluminum looks great AS IS. The polishing can wait...
