basically yea... i just got a mig welder and i've been having all sorts of fun teaching myself how to use it. so i just filled them up with weld, then started cleaning it up with carbide and sanding rolls.

i suppose the insert into the manifold would have the exact same effect...but then i wouldn't get to play with my new toy
