anyone know this R2 for sale in Orlando?

My friend is looking at this 94 R2 in Orlando from Autotrader:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...or=&cardist=12

It's only got 64K on the original motor, looks like it's in great shape, but it's got leather seats, so I'm scratching my head about it being an R2...

Also, he's askin $16,500. Don't R2s usually run for a good $18K or $19K? If anyone knows a thing or two about the car or owner, that would be great.

Oh and if anyone knows of a reputable rotary shop in Orlando (close to zipcode 32801) that can check out the car, that would even be better. Thanks

leather was a factory option (idiot first owner)

Check with Classic Mazda (east or west) maybe they know some service history about it? I was in Orlando for the past 4 years and I hadn't seen that one. Seem's like your typical stock old person owner selling it at blue book. I would carfax it and jump on it if it checks out, then try to find some R1/2 seats

Jon

Jon,

Thanks for the info. Yea I had heard of it being possible in 95, when sales were down and what not...but I never heard of a 94 R2 w/ leather. Go figure.

If it is an old person selling it at blue book, this would be a sweet deal, cuz it might actually be an unmolested 7 (gasp lol..to think they still exist!!)

I did a search in the SE region section, and I saw quite a few threads asking the same question about good rotary shops in orlando...and they all practically got the same answer: none.

Excuse my ignorance...but just how far is Pettit from Orlando? I know Pettit is in West Palm, but me being in VA, and having been to FL like twice...my geography of FL is kinda shabby...

Yea...he was originally asking $18.5K, and I guess when he reduced his asking price to $16.5K, he forgot to edit it in the comment box
