Anyone know how to fix the window motor?

My driver side window doesnt seem to want to go up anymore and the motor has been acting week lately. Anyways, I plan on checking the wiring and the motor, but my problem is I cant seem to get to the motor.... how do you remove or get around the reinforcement to get to the motor? It seem to be welded to the door or something. Any advice?

Question

I think I did a search on this before and found it, but while I'm at it...I have this problem too, especially after rain/car wash. When it's dry, it goes right up.

On my car the window does that also, it seems as though it does not want to go up, but what I have found is that the window is a little bit out of alignment. I roll mine up a little ways and then grab onto the window and then move it foward and it will go right up. Soon I will be taking the door apart to adjust it. Hope this helps.

Mine does the exact same thing. Have to grab front and pull forward. It's like the track torwards the rear of the window is bad. When I find time I will take it apart.

Wankel19, if you get to it first would you please tell us what you find?

Tom
