Anyone heard of Amuse exhaust

I was borwsing the bulletproofatomotive.com site last night and i looked at the exhuasts. The only two they had were both made by Amuse and imported directly from japan. One was a DP back exhuast with 89.6mm piping and the other was a catback with 80mm piping. Anyone heard anything of these exhausts? They seemed really nice and im looking into investing in one of them. i forgot to mention they are $1750 and $1100 respectively

They are very nice exhaust that are vastly overpriced. They are made out of Ti and are not mandrel bent. Instead they use the JDM cut and weld method.

It's probably a really high quality piece, but an exhaust is an exhaust really. I do appreciate the whole cut and weld craftmanship though, it always looks fantastic.

Bulletproof Automotive has some ridiculous prices though. You think that's expensive, try looking at their prices for a titanium BMW M3 exhaust. $3000+ from what I last remember.

Amuse makes probably one of the *greatest* FULLY titanium exhausts for the FD (and for a whole host of JDM cars for that matter). And as such, it's by far THE LIGHTEST exhaust available. I don't have a price on me now, but I know it's quite expensive, but I can get 'em for a bit cheaper. I've been eyeing the Amuse exhaust for quite some time now actually...

^ Ramy...is there anything you CAN'T get? If so, I know of some gentlemen in D.C. that would be willing to pay you quite a number of millions of $$$ if you could get something...errr...someone for them.

I dunno how well Customs would deal with ppl getting stuffed into boxes and containers

As for the comments about it being overpriced or wanting sound clips etc, allow me to share a perspective with you guys. The average product - priced for consumption by the average consumer - must offer every bit of edge it can to help sell itself. Sound clips, pics, install shots, warranty, etc.

Then there's another category of parts that are for the distinguished buyer - namely the extremely performance oriented (or show oriented) consumer. The one who will spare no expense to buy the best of the best, the top of the line items. Those items need no advertising; they sell themselves. They WILL be bought, regardless of the existance of pictures, sound clips, warranty, etc. Ppl buy these items sight unseen. The Amuse exhaust falls into this category.

Lastly, there's the "so dirt cheap that *anyone* can afford it" aka Ebay category. Stolen pics, stolen sound clips, no warranty, and a price so low, you'd think the material was plastic, not metal.

So in short, while I hear your concerns, in a non-confrontational and respectable manner, allow me to ask you to ask yourself one simple question: had Amuse posted up pictures, sound clips, and warranty info, and it was exactly what you wanted...would you REALLY buy it knowing it would set ya back a cool $2,000 or so when all was said and done? I think you now get my point...

Very Amuseing.....
What - someone had to say it....

On another short subject - what is the story on the R-Magic hoods???? Did they buy the molds from M2?? I have on my car one of the four or so carbon originals from M2. It is with out a doubt one of the best looking hoods i've ever seen...

Hey I'm not trying to be mean; just being real. And it's no secret that I cater primarily to that crowd (hence the rare JDM market).

I honestly don't know the story behind it, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's the other way around (that M2 copied R-Magic). Who knows...
