Anyone have the Rotary Extreme titanium exhaust?

Just wondering how the sound and quality of this cat back system is. It looks really high quality, although you can't really tell anything about the sound from pictures.

Also, is it angled or straight back? Judging from the piping, it appears that it would be straight back.

I have the only one. Quality is top notch. I haven't heard the system yet because I'm saving for a motor rebuild before I put the car back together.

As the exhaust is not on the car, I'm not sure on the angle. I think it'll be pretty straight, maybe a slight angle, either way it doesn't bother me.

I actually heard that it doesn't sound that good. Heard one on a supra, and it sounded ok.

It didn't sound good - in what way? Too raspy? Too much like a Civic exhaust tone? Then again, I hear all the time that 7's aren't exactly known for having sweet exhaust tone anyways. Maybe a resonator should be built into the piping?

Have you emailed Rotary Extreme your questions? Chuck is very good about responding to product questions.

As far as sound goes, the titanium exhaust on the Z06 makes the LS-1 (or LS-6) sound more "metallic" and raspier than a normal C5. I'm pretty sure those qualities are not going to help the sound of the rotary.

BTW, no offense, but any one looking at this exhaust and worried about sound comes off as a little funny. That exhaust is designed to be as light as possible, and IMO, is for track cars only. Typical SS exhausts for our cars are already pretty light, sound good, and are MUCH cheaper.

oopppss, I think I was thinking of a different exhaust, are you asking about the hks titanium? I don't know if that is the same as the rotary extreme exhaust. The one I heard was the hks, and yeah, on the supra it sounded like it farts, especially at higher rpms, at low rpms it had a throaty sound.
