anyone had this happen to there rear end

my rear end makes noise when i let off the gas and coast. it hums along with the speed of the car changing to a lower pitch hum as th car slows. it only makes noise when i let off the gas . thanks

mine does this too, kind of like a whine almost, i got worried until i read your post, i figure they all do this

Mine does it too, humms only when I lift. They don't all do it, something is bad. I've got another diff waiting to go in, I'll report back what the problem was when I do a tear down.

Check your oil level, my diff had a leaky right axle seal (above exhaust) and I think the leak allowed the diff to run low on oil.

I've driven mine with the humming for over a year. I didn't drive many miles though, about 6K, but I did manage to make it to about 10 auto-xes.

i had my diff oil changed and it didnt help any. i have drivven mine about 8k and it seems to work fine it is just sounds like a$$

I get it aswell and changing the diif oil didnt do anything.

Check your brake rotor heat shields, could be bent or contacting the rotor and this will cause a humm.
