I think the biggest problem with this would be interaction between mods. For example, adding a good low restricion intake to a stock car may add say 5hp. If you have a heavily modified car with a stock intake the same upgrade may make 15 - 20 hp due to the intake being the bottleneck. The same would hold true for .....
This would be the reason to ask suck questions as:
1) Is your engine ported or stock?
a) What porting does your engine have?
2) Is your intake manifold ported/polished?
3) Do you have a stock intercooler or aftermarket?
a) What are the dimensions of the aftermarket intercooler? (This so to guestimate pressure drop)

Don't forget the "Will these mods blow up my engine?" section that always evaluates to "yes" when the user answers "Fast & the Furious" to the favorite movie question.

Of course you would have to ask all of those questions (and a whole lot more). My point was that it will be much more complex than just adding x hp for midpipe, x hp for intake, ... You would have to consider the interaction between mods and this would be the most difficult part.

Hey, it was worth a try. I guess I was just REALLY bored last night and started reading ALL the newbie "How much hp will _______ give me" threads. Good for a few laughs though.

Don't forget the horsepower calculator for stickers and vinyl graphics.

The naysayers are right... there are far too many variables to be able to predict power from a checklist of parts with any sort of accuracy.

yea like mentioned the problem would be the compounding of parts. In other words lest say on a bone stock car a dp is worth 10rwhp. However lets say they have every mod and running 14psi, EXCEPT they dont have a dp...well then a dp would make a lot more difference than 10rwhp.

If anything what you should do is come up with a list of combinations and just give a estimated hp for each combination. The list of possible combinations would have to be big though.
