Anyone ever remove/repair/disassemble a hedlight actuator?
The motor on my driver's side headlight actuator seems to work fine, but it just doesn't know when to stop! Up, down, up, down, up, down, up... it eventually gets tired and stops, but never in a completely up or down position. If you leave it there, it will start back up again in a minute or two unless you manually twist the shaft to the proper position. Anyways, I would like to hear some input from anyone who has removed or fiddled with the actuator before.

it would sound like it is shorting out somewhere. to make it go on and off. its very easy to remove, it comes out as one assembly. i replaced my passenger side a few months ago. i got it from kuamtae, he still may have the driver side that you could get off him. as far as disassembling the actuator itself, not so sure.

There's probably a contact in the assembly that cuts off power to the actual motor when a cam or something hits it. If that cam isn't hitting the contact, or the contact is stuck, the motor just keeps going round and round and pumps the lights up and down.
