Anyone dumb like me I break my car

I accidently touched an extra wire coming off of my ignition amp to where the positive terminal used to be of the battery and it smoked for about 30 seconds. Started up the car and it idled a lot lower and 10vacuum instead of 14-15. Now I got a new amp and the vacuum is back but the car is misfiring at around 4000rpms or sometimes earlier even at part throttle or full throttle.

What else could I have damaged? I assume just the ignitor and leading coil? Can a coil still work but just not shoot a strong flame? Because we put a timing light on my car and all the plugs are firing it just may not be strong enough. I'm about to start boosting my new engine so I want this fixed. I'm going to maybe get some new plug wires because I thought the stock ones would be ok but maybe they aren't. Any suggestions?

It's possible the coil winding insulation melted, shorting a few of the windings together, leaving you with a coil with less effective windings. So you'd have less induced firing voltage. Less voltage could lead to less chance of a good spark, etc.

...assuming the coil was in the circuit...

oh wow I didn't realize it was so serious
I've heard of the coolant problem on the forum
where are these seals and how can I replace them?

yeah I figured its probably the leading coil as the amp splices into the leading connector of the coil harness.

What else?

Thanks fellas
