You 'll "F" up the structual regidity of the car, Tourings with sunroofs have special structual braces in the roof, to brace around the opening, and the roof has two bubbles on it, so a flat roof from an aftermarket company won't do it...

If you really want a sunroof then sell your car and buy a touring.

To reiterate the others, don't add a sunroof. To add to the other issues, it won't match up with the double-bubble roof either.

I guess I never should have bought my FD with the glass sunroof. If I knew that I wouldnt have bought it.Anyway when I power wash itAnd spray the hose in the crak it leaks in a bit.So I dont even power wash it any more.It will be a pain in the *** to fix it. the whole headliner needs to come out.
When I take it out of the driveway after sitting in the grage and roll out the hill I hear a craking noise.I just hope to god that never flip that thing.

You shouldn't be "power washing" your car anyway!

The only time I'd ever power wash any car, is If I went to the beach in Daytona, and wanted to get all the salt off the bottom, but that was rare... and now I don't live in Fla. anymore so it's not a problem, you can't drive on Santa Monica Beach

I can be done. I got my car from a friend, who in the first few weeks he had it had leather seat covers, CD player, and glass moon roof installed. The seat covers and CD player were OEM, but the moon roof obviously was not. The place that did it did a very good job. I have never had any leaks. The biggest drawback is the headliner. Since it is not OEM, and OEM headliner would not work, and the original one had no chance of being modified to work. Therefore, they custom made a headliner, but they could have done a better job.

There was a black R1 for sale near here last summer. I checked it out. It had an aftermarket sun/moon roof in it and it just looked like ***! As others have said, the 'double-bubble' roof is a bitch for the aftermarket to deal with.

Depends on the power, and water, if the water is hard, you could be taking layers of clear coat off...
