Anyone else having trouble attaching the positive terminal with the Optima 51R? Angle is off slightly and the terminal is far enough to the right that it's pushing the fuse box into the headlight motor.

I used a short battery cable to connect it.

Does it go on, yes. Not as easily as the stock setup. I haven't even tried to see how I can adjust yet. I figured I was the only one with the "issue" and that I'd do that later.

I had the issue, but with a little persuasion everything seemed to go into place
It just doesn't sit as comfortably as stock

Just put mine in

Hi guys,

I bought one of Jeff's battery trays more than a year ago. I was waiting for my "big ***" interstate battery to die. It literally was the biggest battery that would fit in the oem battery box. I even had to saw off the little tabs on the ends to make it fit. Anyway, Jeff's tray fit perfectly, and was a breeze to install. One of the easiest mods I have ever done to my car.

My 'big ***" Interstate battery lasted almost 9 years, so I went over to Costco to buy a new 51R Interstate battery. It was $69.99, and has a 42 month free replacement warranty. The guy told me that the warranty is "no questions asked", and that I should bring it back for a replacement in 41 months, even if it is working perfectly. It appears that I will never be buying another battery for any of my cars, once they are replaced with Costco Interstate batteries.

Just thought I would pass that along ........... not that there are any other "Cheap Bastards" on this forum

Always nice to drop a few lbs and clear up some air space in the front of the engine bay! Jeff's products are all top notch.

Worth every penny. I put some silver heat adhesive on the bottom since it seemed to get pretty warm. Not sure if I should leave the factor intercooler duct opening for the battery open or block it off..

I have replaced both the negative and the positive battery terminal with cables like this and kinda routed them around so they look nice and sit on the battery well. Mods always = more mods.
TurboJeff.
Dude.... It's great that some of the old team are still around. I're replacing my battery that I bought to put in your tray today and trying to show a coworker your stuff. Love the tray. Thanks!
