You guys are cool, fun to see the ideas flow.

IT'S AN AIR DAM FOR THE OVERHEAD LIGHTS. You have to smooth out the air flow over the lights or they whistle. And I do mean WHISTLE, like hear the car 2 miles before it comes by. Drives the officers CRAZY.

More like mess up the flow before it gets to the lights. The flow over the lights would be the smoothest without any obstructions upstream. By "turbulating" the flow as it goes over the hood, the tendency for the lights to whistle would be reduced.

I think it's there for parking. They have tennis ***** hanging on strings in the garage and when it hits that they know they're in far enough.
