Anybody here own a Miata and an FD? Brake reservoir question

I'm wondering if the brake fluid reservoir caps are compatible since Motive now makes a Miata power bleeder adapter (they list it as all years). I have no experience with Miatas but figure maybe there is some parts interchange there.

Can anyone who owns both try swapping the reservoir cap to see if it fits?

Never mind, the Miata cap is different size.

I went to a local shop that sells Motive stuff and took my cap with me to compare to all the adapters. The standard European car adapter was very close (45mm), so I tried it on the car. The threads are slightly loose but the thing does tighten down solid and the lip on the reservoir seats against the cap all the way around. I'm going to pressure test it later but it looks like it will work.

Please let us know if it works. I'm tempted to get one and would like to know which one had the adapter that fits.

Yep it works. The cap seals tight and holds 10PSI indefinitely. No leaks.

Man I'm glad it works because I hate the universal adapter with the chain. That thing is a pain to attach and always has problems sealing. A threaded adapter is so much easier.

The whole kit is part #0100, they call it "European Power Bleeder". The adapter alone is part #1100, and includes the cap and hose with fittings. They both come with two rubber gaskets which fit inside the cap and seal against the reservoir lip (they're identical, I guess one's a spare).
