That's the shop at the actual racetrack in Buttonwillow. That's about 125 North of Los Angeles in the Middle of Nowhere. They build a lot of spec 7s and Pro 7s and they also make the "Super 7" which is a tube frame racecar with a FD body and a bridgeported na racing 2 rotor.

As far as how good they are at rebuilding engines I don't know. My advise is that you could consider them if you want a racing engine but if you're rebuilding an engine for a street car I'd try elsewhere.

I agree with John, I've talked to him when he came to Road Atlanta to race. Knowledgable, friendly guy who I think I'll be getting the GT2 config for the FD body work.

Tube frame/Fiberglass body
Peripheral Port Rotary Engine
265HP/1795 lbs.
Weber 48 IDA Carburetor
Mazda RX8 Transmission

Now available in a GT-2/Track Car configuration: 340 HP/1690 lbs: $39,900!! The difference in the 39,900 engine is it's based on the 13B, where as the 265hp is based on the 12A.

I just checked on their website at http://www.rotarypowerusa.com and their rebuild they have listed is $3,595 with the following:
-3mm seals
-Street port

Kind of high but these guys know what they're doing. I'm sure you can have them rebuild your engine w/o the street port and 3mm seals for less, just have to contact them.

Call here: http://www.ricksrotary.com/

Many people have had motors built by Rick and they are very happy. Since he's also in CA, you won't have to worry about shipping a motor around the US.
