Anybody found a good solution for old cracking palstic?

More and more every year, when I trak apart part of the car with plastic clips/snaps/etc, they just break off. The latest last night was when I took the center console out and all the posts that hold in the screws for the 3 center swtiches broke. Not just snapped off, but broke into several pieces.

Anybody found a solution for dealing with this or have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan

In the future before you take the interior apart run the car and crank the heat until everything gets warm or sit the car out in the sun on a hot day. Makes stuff come apart much easier with less of a chance of breaking. That being said the interior is very cheaply designed and sometimes breaking it can't be avoided.
