Okay, I pulled off my slave cylinder and the rubber boot is completely missing. Would this cause this? Cant the slave cylnder hold pressure without that boot? The rod and inside the bellhousing wasn't wet or anything....

I also reached my finger in side and felt the clutch fork and it moved nicely with smooth pressure. I would think that if it was broken then I could tell by feeling it.

Maybe the missing slave boot is my problem?

Your slave cylinder was fine if it's not wet. Besides, a slave cylinder cannot possibly make any sort of mechnical binding. All it can do is work or not work.

Drop the inspection cover and study the clutch fork very closely with a light. They all crack in the same spot where the roll pin is and you can see it if you look closely. 10-1 says your clutch fork broke, mine did recently too. The clutch will still work with the fork broken but it won't be as smooth, may not disengage all the way and may act completely fine some days before acting up again. When the fork breaks the throwout bearing now gets pulled unevenly on its shaft and this makes it make unhappy noises which it will continue to do until it decides to disintegrate.

just got the transmission out and all I can say is damn................ Somehow one of the bolts that hold the clutch to the flywheel broke and the clutch actually ben away from the flywheel. There is a one inch gap between the clutch and the flywheel where that bolt was broken. The clutch was hitting the bellhousing because it was bent away from the flywheel.

Anyone know if I can just buy a act cover, is that what it's called?

I don't know if you can actually buy the pressure plate cover or not... I think it does seperate , but not sure on replacement.. Maybe you can find a used one?

BTW.. Just how in the hell did you manage this one?

i have a similar problem

the gears go in fine with the car off but after long drives, at a stop, the car wont go into any gear? but then once i get it moving somehow, going through the gears are perfect..

??

that puzzles me

with the car off, gears go in fine all the time
when the car is on, first 20 minutes, everything is good, once i drive the car a long time, when i get to a stop, i try to get it into gear again to get going, and i cant. not any gear..maybe something to do with heat?
