Anybody do water injection in their FD?

I have just started looking into water injection in the last few days and haven't really learned much about it yet. So far it sounds like only good things can come from it. Lower intake temps leading to lower chance of detonation, higher fuel economy, more power, it sounds like you just can't go wrong. I want to find out if you really could go wrong and what that would be. I know too much water would be bad, so I would need to find out how much water is correct. Does anybody know how to find that out?

I have seen computer controlled kits for $1000, constant pressure kits for $200-500, and home done kits using windshield washer reservoirs and pumps and some kind of sprayer hooked to the intake. I was wondering what the right way to do this is. Do you spray water before the turbo? before the intercooler? directly into the intake manifold?
